BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT

They Chose to Stand With Veterans.

Behind every veteran and military family we serve is a community that refused to look away. These businesses and partners made a choice — to invest in the people who served us all.

At Community for Veteran Families, we know that no one does this work alone. Veterans and military families face isolation, crisis, and the quiet fear of being forgotten. When local businesses and community partners step forward, they become part of the answer. They become the reason a family gets the call they never expected to receive. The organizations spotlighted here have done more than write a check — they have linked arms with our mission and helped us show up for the people who need us most.

Some businesses sponsor an event. Gruene Insurance Group sponsors a promise. Based in New Braunfels and now serving Seguin, Gruene Insurance Group is a small family business built on a simple belief: with them, you're more than insured — you're family. That same philosophy extends to the veterans and military families they serve every day through Medicare planning, life insurance, financial guidance, and more.

As the Premier Sponsor of CVF's 4th Annual Ride for Wreaths, Gruene Insurance Group is putting that belief into action. Their sponsorship makes it possible for our community to gather, ride, and honor the veterans at San Antonio National Cemetery who would otherwise go unrecognized on Wreaths Across America Day. And their commitment to CVF goes beyond a single event — they've listed Community for Veteran Families directly on their website as a trusted veteran resource, because they believe the people who served this country deserve a full network of support.

Three-time winner of Best of New Braunfels, Gruene Insurance Group doesn't just protect futures — they help build them. We are proud to ride alongside them.

"As a family who is three generations of military, we understand that only Jesus and soldiers sign their name for us. For that, we serve our veterans."

American Legion Riders Post 245

The 4th Annual Ride for Wreaths exists because American Legion Riders Post 245 said yes. H. U. Wood Post 245 has been serving Seguin and its veterans for over 100 years — built on four pillars that have never wavered: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth. That legacy lives in everything they do, including opening their home at 618 E. Kingsbury Street as the host venue for our annual ride.

Walk up to Post 245 and the first thing you'll see is a mural painted by Seguin high school students — soldiers, flags, and fireworks covering the outside wall in a tribute to those who served. It is a reminder that honoring veterans is not just the work of veterans. It is the work of a whole community. The Riders of Post 245 embody that truth every time they fire up their bikes and ride in service of something greater than themselves.

Their partnership is the backbone of the Ride for Wreaths, and their presence on the road and at the December 19th Wreaths Across America ceremony reminds every participant exactly why we do this.

A Tribute in Song

Dawn breaks wide on an open plane, two-lane home and a touch of rain. Leather creaks, engines breathe, steel-shod hooves just waiting to leave. From the Post to the road, hear the thunder endorse — freedom still rides on an iron horse. Iron horses, galloped through the land, steel hearts driving a freedom brand. From prairie skies to the blacktop's course, we ride as one on iron horses. Patch on the back, miles in the eyes, some scars hidden, some worn with pride. We buried friends, we've raised the flag, carried the weight in a saddlebag. Chrome and courage, those endorsed — the old ways live in an iron horse. Iron horses, galloped through the land, steel hearts driving a freedom brand. From prairie skies to the blacktop's course, we ride as one on iron horses. Engines rest, but the legend's alive — some horses run on four. Ours run on fire and pride.

Mama Mo's Texas BBQ Sauce & Seasoning

Monica didn't wait to see what CVF was about before she showed up. When she was first introduced to our mission, she wrote a $250 check for an event she couldn't even attend — because she believed in the people we serve. That kind of generosity doesn't come from obligation. It comes from the heart of a military family who understands, firsthand, what sacrifice looks like.

Since that first act of faith, Monica has co-sponsored the 2nd Annual Ride for Wreaths and opened doors for CVF at events she sponsors for other organizations — sharing our mission with every community she touches. Over three years, she has shown up quietly and consistently, the way the best partners always do.

Mama Mo's is a woman-owned, San Antonio-based brand built on a cherished family recipe that became a three-time competition winner. Monica handcrafts her Texas BBQ sauces and seasonings in small batches, is a proud GoTexan partner, and runs her business the same way she supports her community — with love, intention, and a whole lot of heart. When you support Mama Mo's, you support a business that has never stopped supporting veterans.
