Community for Veteran Families

Serving veteran families in Seguin, San Antonio, and South Texas through emergency financial assistance, resource connections, family support, and our Adopt a Grave program.

Community for Veteran Families is a woman-owned 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Seguin, Texas, supporting veteran families across our local community, the San Antonio area, and South Texas. We provide emergency financial assistance, connect veteran families to trusted resources, and walk alongside veterans through every season of life. No veteran should face it alone. No family should either.

OUR STORY

Marching Together: About CVF

Community for Veteran Families was born from a deeply personal place. Our founder grew up in a military family whose service spans generations - and knows firsthand the sacrifice that military life demands, not just from the service member, but from every person who loves them. That lived experience is the foundation of everything CVF does.

What began as a personal mission to help veteran families in the San Antonio area has grown into a woman-owned 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving veterans, military families, caregivers, and Gold Star families across South Texas. We are based in Seguin, Texas and serve families across Guadalupe, Comal, and Bexar counties - and wherever the need calls us. Through our No Veteran Left Behind program, we make regular wellness calls to veterans who may be isolated, struggling, or just need to know someone is thinking of them.

Family Assistance

When a veteran family faces a crisis - an eviction notice, a utility shutoff, or an empty refrigerator - CVF is there. We provide direct emergency financial assistance for rent, utilities, groceries, and basic household needs. We move fast, we show up personally, and we never turn away a family in need. Because the families who sacrificed for this country deserve a community that shows up for them.

Caring for Those Who Served

Through our Adopt a Grave program, CVF volunteers maintain the gravesites of fallen veterans at 4 Texas cemeteries. Because the families left behind deserve to know their loved one is still being honored. Every name remembered. Every grave tended.

No Veteran Left Behind

Isolation is one of the most dangerous things a veteran can face after service. CVF volunteers make regular check-in calls to enrolled veterans and military family members so no one goes weeks without hearing a caring voice. Free to enroll. No paperwork. Just someone who shows up.
