HONOR A HERO - REMEMBER THE FALLEN
Adopt a Grave
OUR FLAGSHIP PROGRAM
Adopt a Grave
San Antonio National Cemetery
San Antonio National Cemetery is one of the oldest and most sacred veteran burial grounds in Texas, established in 1867. Within its hallowed grounds rest thousands of American heroes - soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines who answered the call of duty across generations of service, from the Civil War to the conflicts of today. Many of these heroes have no family left to visit their graves. No one to place flowers. No one to say their name. They rest quietly, their sacrifices known only to history - and to us.
That is why what you do matters so deeply.
By sponsoring a remembrance wreath through CVF's Adopt a Grave program, you are personally choosing a veteran - a real person with a name, a story, and a family who loved them - and saying I remember you. I honor you. You are not forgotten. During our December ceremonies, a fresh balsam remembrance wreath will be placed on your hero's grave as a visible, tangible symbol that this community has not forgotten the price of freedom.
For many of these veterans, your wreath may be the only marker that anyone remembered them this holiday season. That is not just a gift - that is a promise. And CVF is honored to help you keep it.
Your sponsorship includes our special Honor Package:
- ✦A handmade ornament crafted with care
- ✦A certificate of honor bearing your hero's name
- ✦A dog tag to keep close to your heart - a lasting reminder of the hero you chose to remember
