Turn your mile into a memorial. Submit a veteran's name, your logo, and a photo — we print all three on your mile marker sign. Every rider who passes Mile X will see a face, a name, a story. A real person who gave something of themselves for this country.

At San Antonio National Cemetery, 2,556 veterans are buried. They fought in wars you learned about in school. Most days, no one walks past their headstone. No one says their name.
On December 19, 2026, that changes. Volunteers will kneel at each grave, place a wreath, and say that veteran's name aloud — their branch, their dates, and the words: "Thank you for your service."

396 graves have been covered so far — that total includes returning adopters who re-adopted the same veteran they honored in past years, and we hope every one of them comes back again. 345 veterans had no wreath last year, and 2,161 graves still need adoption. Every priority name has now been adopted, so we have moved on to our Second Watch of 163 names. Every adoption is $20 at adoptagrave.org.

No one knelt down. No one said their name. Not that December.
This year, 396 graves have been covered so far. 2,161 graves still need adoption.
Adopted before? Please re-adopt your veteran — returning adopters are counted in our 396 covered graves, and they are how we keep a name from going quiet again.
Every sponsorship dollar — from $20 to $250 — is part of the chain that changes that.

Come to American Legion Post 245, 618 E. Kingsbury St, Seguin for the sendoff, the welcome home, and the awards ceremony at 3:00 PM.
