WELCOME TO
Community for Veteran Families
CVF began as a personal mission to help San Antonio area veteran families in need and has since partnered with other organizations to forge stronger bonds within the community. We continue to serve those who signed that dotted line to protect our freedoms. Whether that comes in the form of rent, groceries, and utilities, or revering the many military heroes laid to rest, we are committed to preserving the honor and deference our veterans deserve.
OUR STORY
Marching Together: About CVF
At Community for Veteran Families, our primary objective is to provide comprehensive assistance to veteran families facing various challenges. We firmly believe that those who have bravely served our nation deserve unwavering support, and it is our mission to be there for them when they need it most.
Our organization is dedicated to addressing a wide range of needs that veteran families may encounter. This can come in the form of direct financial assistance, ensuring children have proper uniforms, constructing handicap ramps for accessibility, or offering essential food assistance, we strive to be a reliable source of aid for all the families who reach out to us.
Honoring Our Fallen
Wreaths Across America Partnership
In addition to our commitment to helping individual veteran families, we also actively participate in honoring and supporting those service men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Through our partnership with Wreaths Across America, we engage in fundraising efforts throughout the year, culminating in a wreath-laying ceremony. We currently support this solemn ceremony at five different cemeteries: San Antonio National Cemetery, Confederate Cemetery of San Antonio, Comal Cemetery in New Braunfels, Texas, Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida, and Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, Texas. By participating in this ceremony, we not only pay tribute to our fallen heroes but also raise funds to further assist our veteran families in need.
Fiesta Medals and More
Supporting Veteran Families Through Fundraising
To sustain our efforts and make a tangible impact, we engage in various fundraising activities throughout the year. One of our notable initiatives is the sale of Fiesta medals, a cherished tradition in the San Antonio area. These unique and collectible medals not only celebrate our community’s vibrant heritage but also serve as a means of generating funds to support our veteran families. We also offer challenge coins, ball caps, and visors as additional fundraising items, all of which contribute to our mission of providing vital assistance to those who have served.
I invite you to join us in making a difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for our country. By supporting Community for Veteran Families, you have the opportunity to leave a lasting impact on the well-being of our local veteran families and contribute to the betterment of our community as a whole.
